The Best Walks Near Skyline House

Step outside Skyline House and you’re already in the middle of some of the finest walking country in Wales. The forest drops away from the garden, the coast is minutes away, and the Anglesey Coastal Path passes right through the area — meaning you can pull on your boots and be somewhere spectacular within minutes.

🥾 Moelfre to Lligwy Beach The most popular walk from the house and a perfect introduction to the Anglesey coast. The trail follows the coastal path from Moelfre, taking in great views out to sea and of Ynys Moelfre as it winds its way to Lligwy Beach. Easy underfoot for most of the way, with the reward of one of Anglesey’s best beaches and a café at the end. Allow around 45 minutes each way. AllTrails

🥾 Moelfre to Red Wharf Bay A longer, more ambitious route that follows the Wales Coast Path south from Moelfre. Beautiful sea views throughout, passing quiet coves and headlands that feel completely undiscovered. A fantastic route along the coast with lovely views out to sea the whole way. Allow half a day and finish with a drink at the pub in Red Wharf Bay — you’ll have earned it. AllTrails

🥾 Moelfre to Amlwch The longest trail in the area at 13 miles, passing Lligwy Beach, Traeth Dulas, Point Lynas Lighthouse, and Porth Eilian along the way. A full day out for serious walkers, with dramatic cliff edges and exposed headlands. Proper footwear and layers essential. AllTrails

🥾 Din Lligwy & the Burial Chamber Loop A shorter, historically rich walk taking in two of Anglesey’s most fascinating ancient sites. The Lligwy Burial Chamber alone is estimated to weigh 25 tonnes — free to visit and genuinely awe-inspiring up close. Combine it with the Iron Age village at Din Lligwy for a brilliant morning out that most visitors completely miss. Tripadvisor

🥾 The Anglesey Coastal Path The full coastal path stretches 130 miles around the entire island, winding past dramatic sea cliffs, golden beaches, hidden coves, tranquil estuaries, and charming fishing villages. You don’t need to walk the whole thing — dip in and out at any point for an instant hit of Anglesey at its wildest and most beautiful. XYUandBEYOND
