The Snug
Sometimes you just want somewhere to disappear into.
The snug at Skyline House is exactly that — a separate, self-contained space designed for slowing down and switching off. Softer and more intimate than the main living room, it’s the kind of room that gets claimed early and rarely given up.
At its heart sits a concrete-framed fireplace with a wide log burner, paired with a large wall-mounted TV and a deep corner sofa in soft blue — everything you need for a proper film night without having to negotiate with the rest of the group over what to watch.
A cosy armchair sits by the window, ideal for an afternoon with a book while the fire burns quietly beside you. Natural light fills the room during the day, and in the evenings the fire does the rest.
Whether it’s the children disappearing in here after dinner, or the adults finally getting the remote to themselves late at night, the snug has a way of becoming everyone’s favourite room by the end of the stay.
Separate from the main living areas, private, warm, and completely unhurried — it’s one of those spaces that makes Skyline House feel like a proper home rather than just somewhere to stay.
