Cafés Near Skyline House
Whether you’re after a lazy morning coffee, a hearty breakfast before a walk, or a proper afternoon tea with sea views, Anglesey has some wonderful cafes that are well worth seeking out.
☕ Ann’s Pantry — Moelfre Your closest and arguably the best. A charming family-run café that has been delighting visitors since 1926, originally converted from two fishermen’s cottages and just a stone’s throw from Moelfre beach. The menu showcases the best of Welsh cuisine — from Welsh Rarebit with mature cheddar and homemade chutney to beautifully presented dishes like Moroccan salad and lamb burger. The afternoon tea is legendary — book a couple of days in advance and don’t miss it. Dogs very welcome. Booking strongly recommended at weekends. Wanderlog + 2
☕ Lligwy Beach Cafe — Lligwy Beach Just a short walk along the coastal path and one of the most special spots for a bite to eat on the whole island. Recently named one of the top 10 beach cafes in the UK by The Guardian, Lligwy Beach Café serves a wonderful selection of pastries, cakes and hot drinks alongside wood-fired pizzas and Asian street food. Hot chocolates arrive in Emma Bridgewater mugs and the outdoor marquee area comes with blankets for cooler days — it’s a genuinely special experience. Check seasonal opening times before you go. 💡 Our tip: Ann’s Pantry gets very busy in peak season — book ahead online and go early. The afternoon tea is one of those things you’ll talk about long after the holiday is over.
