Skyline House is best reached by car, but arriving by train is absolutely possible — and the journey through North Wales is beautiful.

The nearest railway station to Skyline House is Llanfairpwll (Llanfairpwllgwyngyll), approximately 9 miles away — about a 20 minute drive. From there you’ll need a taxi or hire car to reach the house, but it’s a straightforward journey. StreetCheck
The next closest stations are:
- Bangor — just across the Menai Bridge on the mainland, slightly further but with more frequent services and better connections
- Holyhead — the main station on Anglesey, around 30 minutes drive from the house
By train from major cities, Anglesey is very well connected — London is just over 3 hours away, Manchester around 2 hours, Birmingham 2.5 hours, and Chester under an hour. Trainline
🚕 Taxis from the Station We recommend booking a local taxi in advance rather than hoping to find one on arrival — it’s a rural area and cabs don’t pass through regularly. Ask us before your stay and we can recommend local taxi firms who know the area well.
🚗 By Car The house is easily reached via the A55 expressway, which connects directly to the mainland across the Britannia Bridge. From there it’s a scenic 20-25 minute drive across the island to Skyline House — postcode LL72 8NFwill take you straight to the door.
💡 Our tip: A car is strongly recommended for making the most of your stay — the island’s beaches, restaurants and attractions are all a short drive away and public transport on Anglesey is limited.
